I've looked through the entire site, and I don't see any guides for the proper settings/procedures for DVD9 to DVD5 (1 disk) using the program DVD2DVD-r. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

This site though in dutch has some pictures of the whole process. Maybe you can use a translator.

If you read the entire 16 pages of the thread you can't help but know everything about the program. At least that is what I did, several times over.. Every conceivable question is answered. As far as what settings work the best, I think you basically have to experiment to see what settings work with your configuration and equipment. I personally think it is the best "all in one" program available yet.

I just wanted to know what the settings controlled. I'm new to this, and I don't want to just blindly check a box if I don't know what the box's function is in the first place.

Each DVD is different so settings will always change your really gonna have to read some guides on it!
Thanks alot,

Make an ISO of your DVD and mount it using Daemon Tools...
BTW I'm translating my entire website into English and French at the moment... I hope to get it online after the weekend.
I am also looking for some ad-free webspace for 1 or 2 mirror sites.

I can help you test NTSC dvds if you want... and I can also help you with the guide... just email me or post here -- I'll check later ...
dhluke@starpower.net
P.S. I might be able to host a mirror for your guide on my ISP since I don't even use the space they gave me... -
@dhluke
GREAT!
I suggest you start writing a guide on NTSC-DVD's.
In text or HTML, doesn't matter...
If possible, make some screenshots too!
TIA 4 ur help.

I have started on the guide, but I don't know which version of DVD2DVDR to use...

Both formats I believe should use BitRate Viewer to determine FIELD, ZIZZAG etc. boxes.
There again I have never done a PAL DVD, so who am I so say what the differences are.. -
Hey joepic, would you like to help me? I am working on 2 different guides using the same program... DVD2DVDR for movie only and DVD2DVDR keeping everything (extras, menu, etc). Just email me @ dhluke@starpower.net or AIM: dhlukeAC --

Okay...
I have put English versions of my pages online.
For now you will have to follow the links to the translated pages.
I will write a new index from where you will be able to choose your language at startup.
Now I am waiting to get a tutorial for NTSC-movies? Need your help on this one (as I said: I don't have anu NTSC DVDs for testing), incl. screenshots please!
I still need some reliable ads-free webspace for mirroring my website?
You can reach me... see the contact-page on my website.

Special thanks to Neil for helping with the translations!

I am almost done with the NTSC guide... I have lots of pictures... For every little thing I have put pictures... DVD Maestro has the most pictures, which takes a lot of time... It'll take me 1 or 2 more days to finish it... I will be posting the link here within 2 days.

on your homepage you wrote :
We use CCE 2.5 SP (AMD users must install the CRC-patch, execute it at the end!).
what is CRC-patch, where i can find it? -
Well, it took freaking long damnit... But I'm 50% done with the guide... I only have a section for "Movie Only" using DVD2DVDR (This is NTSC). I wonder if I should make a new topic for this...
I haven't finished the Burning Section yet, as I ran out of space and can't compile the files. But burning should be pretty easy for most people.
The guide is kind of big, it's about 15MB in size. I only have 10MB on my ISP web, so I am hosting the guide directly from my computer...
When I finished with the guide, I will put a link for everyone to download the whole thing...
Guide is located:
http://dhluke.myftp.org:8080
http://66.44.125.103:8080
I'll try to finish it next week if I can... -
Hey -BK- just want to say you have a great site and your English tutorials are very professional. Hope you keep it up. Most clearly written guides I've seen so far anywhere.

How can you make IFOEDIT automatically start authoring when DVD2DVD-R has finished doing it's thing?
