i got a divx and converted it to a vcd using tmpgenc and virtualdub made 2 cds but after i converted them they worked fine on pc (media player)but on my dvd player the sound is slighty out of sync..by around about a second...can i also point out ive bought vcds and they to seem to be out of sync threw dvd player but ok on pc......

Ouch!........ My advise is: check the list on this site; about the Dvd- players; and their compatibility with vcd/svcd/xvcd.
