  1. I have a Sony microMV camera and want to do some video editing.

If money is no object, what kind of computer (components)would you recomend me to by?.

If I understand it I need at least, Firewire with some card that accepts microMV(mpeg2), an editing program like pinacle that accepts mpeg2 and then finaly a DVD writer.

Or put it this way, what does not work with microMV?

    Kind regards

I think you are setting an impossible limit here. You ask

Well, instead lets define your needs.

With MICRODV yo uneed a Firewire, but that doesn't require state of the art Hollywood CPU"s overclocked to 5Gig

    Try this
    Get a good stable machine

    2 Gigahertz or higher processor
DVD rom and DVD RW drives
you want at least an 80 gig hard drive (20 for windows 60 for video)
you can always add another hard drive later.

    Good video card. Your choice.

As to firewire, you know you can get a Firewire card for 15 bucks, a program like Video Studio or Ulead for abou 60 to 80 with MPEG 2 DVD . plugin

Blleding edge is not necessarily better.

    I have a 600 copy of ADOBE premier. I don't use it.

I have a 60 dollar copy of Sonic Foundry Video Factory, use it every day.

    So shop........

Of course if you want blisters on your machine try here .....
