  1. I have created an excellent home dvd with all the special effects, menu's etc. However when I watch the still photo gallery at the end of the DVD on my TV the photo's have been reduced in size ( the tops & sides cut ) but they are ok on the PC any ideas on how to view the whole picture on the TV. Tried 4:3 & 16:9 still happens.
    its a PAL, 4:3, (photos) still picture size is 720 x 576.

Unfortunately this is normal on TV screens. This is why you have safe areas on DVD authoring apps to ensure your navigation buttons are not inadvertantly off-screen.

I haven't tried it but you could make photos smaller (maintaining aspect ratio) and they would then have a black border around them of which some of the border would be lost in the invisible part of the TV screen. You'd have smaller photos but you wouldn't lose any detail around the edges.

I personally don't worry about this loss as most of my photos involve the target being fairly central to the picture but I can imagine things like landscape shots would lose important detail.

  3. Thanks, but I have now cracked it.
Reducing the size of the photo dose not work that was the first thing I tried.
I used custom size in tmpeg and that has worked.
What exactly the difference is I dont know
    But Hey Who Cares Now.
    Thanks anyway
