    When i do video out to my tv, i cant watch any movies, it shows the area where the movie would be as a black box. Anyone know whats wrong?

    Go to display properties, click settings, then advanced, and finally display. If you are only using your tv as a monitor, then it should be the primary display. If you still have computer monitor attached, then it is your primary display. You need to either make your tv your monitor when you watch a dvd, or you need to make your tv a clone of your monitor. Their is two buttons under each display, one is round, and one is a square(I think). You need to press the round button for your TV display, then click apply. Then click yes. That should do it.
