  1. Hiya All,

Just wondering if anyone can help me. Once ive created my 'm2v' file in TMPGEnc and preview it in 'PowerDVD' its fine. When i compile the 'm2v', 'ac3' and chapters then watch the film it pauses every so often for a second or so and if i play after it has been burnt on a DVD it does the same on PC and PS2 but in a normal DVD Player it dont do it! I'm thinking it might be DVD Maestro, so is there any other compiling programs i can try and use the same files? or does anyone know the solution to my problem??

    Thanks John

The DVD plays fine on the DVD player but not on your PC or PS2?

The problem is probably CPU speed, open/loaded files or DMA trned OFF on the IDE port of your DVD ROM drive

    It's not a Maestro problem.

  5. I was confused by your post, so I thought I would try to summarize.

    1) m2v plays in powerdvd
    2) vob pauses in powerdvd
    3) burned dvd plays fine in stand alone
    4) burned dvd pauses in powerdvd
    5) burned dvd pauses in PS2

Does this happen to all of your dvds? Is the pausing the same for the vob as in the PS2, or are these 2 seperate problems? I assume commercial dvds work fine in powerdvd.

I have never had a problem with maestro, and would call it a great program for what it does. I would look at other steps in your process.

  6. DVD Maestro is the BEST. Try GearPro for burning, I've got a very old JVC XA-D2000 It would NOT play anything until I started burning DVD's with GearPro. Never made a coaster and haven't found a DVD player it won't play in.
