The subject says it all: DVDXCopy Vs. DVD Cloner
I regularly use DVDXCopy and am happy with it. Has anyone tried DVD Cloner and how does it compare?
Are there any info sheets/FAQ's out there on how to use or tweek DVD Cloner not published by the manufacturer?
Thanks

I tried to use the demo version of DVD-Cloner and after it spent a lot of time writing to the DVD it produced nothing. Completely blank DVD.
What does DVD-X-Copy do that you cannot do easily and manually with DVD Decrypter and IFOEdit? -

I was playing around with DVD Cloner and it is flawed, don't bother with it until some serious debugging has been done.

For one, it makes a compatible copy with BOSE 3-2-1. (all the copy that worked okay with IFOEdit on sony dvc, toshiba is trashed on BOSE somehow)
DVD decryptor works fine... (of course you are limited on your backup resource).
For one, the author of IFOEdit is now working with DVDxCopy (321studio) -
OK, so assuming you don't have a BOSE 3-2-1 (like probably 99.9% of the people here) what advantages are there? For people with highly compatible players you can use either method but DVDxCopy can do it easier. End of story.
Don't get me wrong, I can see value in both methods and use both depending on what I'm backing up, but for some people to simply dismiss a package that works for a good many people is pretty ignorant.

IFOedit and DVD Decrypter VS. DVDXCopy? No comparison. If you are extremely lazy (like me) DVDXCopy is the way to go. Put in a DVD...push a copy now...wait 10 mins. to decrypt...add blank media...push burn now...wait 30 mins...dvd.
I only take the long route if I am burning say a TV series DVD (I.E.- Sopranos) that will not burn on DVDXcopy when the special fetures are omitted.

I do not agree with all that - there's nothing that DVDXCopy does that can't be done with an extra 5 mouse clicks. No added value except "less clicks". I cannot justify $99 for a couple of fewer mouse clicks.

i started out learning the ifoedit/dvd decryptor method. and this is my method for dvd5. but when it comes to dvd9, there is no comparison, dvdxcopy is so convenient. it works 99% of the time, and is so simple.

Too bad they don't have test versions so people can try and see if it will work with them...
