When I am making an SVCD, i always have my audio out of sync, would this be because I record in MPEG-1, and virtualDUB is made to extract audio from an AVI?
Would this cause a "mis-read" in the audio extraction and cause it to go out of sync? I am baffled why mine is the ONLY one that goes out of sync, no matter what i do

Have you tried any other products to create your SVCD?
Could this be a VDub or TMPGEnc issue?
Not the answer you're looking for, granted, try VCDGear. -
