Alright, here's the scenario.... (and I've tried this with two DVDs)
I've ripped the "TITLE01-ANGLE1.VOB" from each of the DVDs which ends up being about 5GB
I then drop this file into FFMpegX 6.0 and choose SVCD I calculate the bitrate so that the movie will fit on two 80min CDs (about 1800kbps), set it to Dual Threaded CPU, select the right ratio aspect, tell it to split the movie into two chunks and Author as an SVCD as a and pretty much leave the rest alone.
It goes through the whole encoding process that used to work like previous versions of FFMpegX but here's what I get for output files...
Movie_Name-1.mpg (272MB)
Movie_Name-2.mpg (4kb)
Movie_Name.mpg (276.1MB)
Movie_Name.m2v (79.4MB)
Movie_Name.mp2 (192.5MB)
Moive_Name-1_01.img (692kb)
Movie_Name-1_02.img (272MB)
So you might wonder what the problem is?
Well for starters, it only split it into two IMG files for the first CD, when I'm supposed to get 4 (2 per CD).
Secondly the movie is only 272 MB!? No... I assure you it's not It's come up with about 275MB on both the DVDs I've tested. And the final movie file isn't the whole movie, it's sorta "corrupted" part way through watching the file, the video STOPs and the audio keeps going.
Each of the VOB files are about 5GB, and I'm absolutely 100% sure that I'm using the right title file. (Number 1 in this case)
So maybe I'm off the wall or something, but this isn't working like it used to.
But I guess the plus side is that the final file, up until the video cuts off, is in sync?![]()

Just so you can take a look at what the terminal does, heres the output....
Maybe it might explain why it doesn't work...
