  1. This is the instructions that are givin in this guide,

    1.Run CCE

2.Drag and Drop either the avs text file, or the VFAPI avi file into CCE, it should look like this. ( there is nothing to drag & drop) where are the files they are talking about?

There are no AVS file or vfapi files to be found, & the M2v file CCE says it can't open it , or doesn't support that 20000/1000 frame rate, the frame rate is only 25 and is ment to be 25 but i can't find the file to open, can some one please loo at this guide here & tell me where i am going wrong, thanks
    http://www.dvd2dvdr.com/Part_II_spruce_CCE.htm

it doesn't specify where i have to get the file from, i assume it's the main Movie folder that i ripped with smart ripper & went through dvd2AVi with, can't see it i must be blind!

  2. if you read the tutorial closely it said to open the note pad and type ..
    1. LoadPlugin("C:\location of Avisynth2\Plugins\mpeg2dec3.dll")
    2. mpeg2source("C:\location of the d2v\moviename.d2v",iDCT=2,CPU=0)
    3. ResampleAudio(44100)

and save this as an avs file.... and this is the file that you need to drag and drop into cce.

    just my 2 cents

  5. can you give more info..are you ripping a dvd and trying to reduce the size??? what are the files you have right now ???? if you are having a hard time using cce why don't you use tmpgenc ..it is easier you don't have to make an avs file and you can still use vbr with 2pass.... check this tutorial out http://www.vcdhelp.com/miniDVDAC3/minidvdac3.htm up to the point where you have the ac3 file and the m2v..those 2 files you can use in spruce up or maestro to create your movie..

  6. OK thanks for a reply, this is the guide that i have been following
    http://www.dvd2dvdr.com/Part_II_spruce_CCE.htm

i have only had to use REMPEG 1 time, i tried this over nite aswell & it froze at 99%? with 1 frame remaining rendering the .m2v file useless.
Ye i am trying to get a 5.4 down to 4 gig so i can fit on 1 DVDR
i am not sure what VBR is, in this guide i don't have to use either VBR or TMPGENC, yes i understand fropm once i have the encoded file what to do in SPruce, i just can't work out afte i followed that gude , it just says oipen up the avs file or the AVI file in CCE ( but it tells me that the frame size is not supported giving me a ridiculous frame size, e.g 1052 x 56, or the other one was 20000/1000 & won't let me open the file?)
So i hope this makes my problem a little clearer.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

  7. ok using that turoial as soon as you get the ac3 file and the d2v file from dvd2avi you can then use tmpgenc to reencode using the d2v file and check the video option only and use the rest of the tutorial in this link
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/miniDVDAC3/minidvdac3.htm
after tmpgenc is done you will have a m2v file and you can use that with the ac3 file you have....I have use rempeg and I must say I haven't had any luck with it, with respect to quality of the picture..TMPGenc have a good quality and CCE to is excellent..

    just my 2 cents

  8. Thanks again, when i get home this afternoon i will definetly give it a shot, i just decided to ripp the DVD again, & start from the beginning & follow the guide that you have givin me. I fear i would get confused and wind up back whre i started if i go half way through 1 guide then try and finish with another guide.
Thanks again i will let you know my results tonight when i try.
Again thanks so much for helping me

  9. Oh sorry, 1 more thing, when i rippp the DVD i still have to DEMUX the Audio & Video ? because it doesn't say to do that in the guide you have givin me? i have demuxed it for now, but if i don't have to , i will ripp again.
    Thanks

  10. when you use dvd2avi, that process will create 2 files, ac3 and d2v file just like the tutorial..then with the d2v file you can use that in TMPGenc video option and it will create a m2v file for you and you can use that in spruce up....one thing is you need to check the ac3 file if it needs to go through ac3 delay corrector ..otherwise your audio might be out of sync....

    just my .02 cents

  11. just a side note to you B-BOY.

when rempeg hangs at 99% just close it down and it will finalise and you can use the m2v.
just incase somebody else was reading this thread and thought the same.
