first of all, what the hell is a .gi file and why cant the groups releases stuff as a simple audio and video folder? anyways, im pretty sure its an image file, but can i deal with it directly in mac os x or do i need to use isobuster in vpc? and help would be great.

But there's no Primo DVD for Mac, right? Even if you tried to open the files on Virtual PC, how are you going to burn from there since VPC will not recognize any DVD (or CD) burner on the MAC?

Sorry, I am not a MAC-user
Another program that burns them alright is Record Now from Veritas/Stomp. I dont know if its available for MAC.
Made me happy because it burnt my GI-image OK. Just finsihed and tested OK.
