    First attempt kinda yucky
First VCD. Created it with DVD2SVCD and TMPENgc. DVP player recogizes
it but it plays VERY jerky....freezing up on one frame for 5-10 seconds. I'm not sure where to start to troubleshoot it.
Based on the symptom, are there any suggestions?
    Tia for any help.

  2. Ahhhh, I remember my 1st VCD, it was like 3 years ago and I didn't know sh!t from Shinola.
Media may be your problem as some DVD players will only play CD-RW's and not CD-R's, even if they are VCD compliant. Try another format or brand of CD-R or RW.
Ahemmmmm, As to your question, TMPGenc is a very good program for creating MPG1 video files for VCD. There are strict rules for creating a compliant VCD that will play in VCD compliant DVD players. Be sure to use the VCDntsc template for NTSC (U.S.) video format.

    Sakuya:

DVD2SVCD has built-in settings make VCDs, CVDs and SVCDs. There is even a DVD setting although I'm not sure if this is truly for DVDs or just DVD resolution.
