I've got intention to buy a DVD VCR combo. I noticed some European models (I live in Italy) at about 369 Euros, like Philips, Aiwa, Samsung (sorry but I don't remember the model). They all show VCD/CD-R/RW/MP3/DVD video compatibility, but none of them says about DVD-R. The only model who says about DVD-R is the Hitachi (DV-P2FE or something similar, but the European version !), priced 429 Euros. If I'll buy a model without DVD-R compatibility written on specs, I'm sure that it won't play DVD-R? I'm planning to buy a DVD Writer for PC and I won't be happy if my DVD-Rs doesn't play on my DVD player ... thanks in advance
