Just upgraded my pc to windows xp. was just wondering if anyone uses windows movie maker. If so, do you like it or not and why. I was going to experiment with it and just wanted some input. I currently use studio 7.0 have not tried it yet under xp but it worked well for me under 98se.
    thanks for your input.

  2. I played with it little bit for my review (see link bellow). Problem is that as output you can have only avi or wmv. No DVD authoring. Some very nice title templates. Trimming and cutting is not that easy as I am used to. Try it and let us know...

well I made a 20 min movie with movie maker 2.0 captured at full dv quality very good has alot of nice transitions. Made the full dv quality .avi faster than studio 7.0. However the title screens and cutting the clips are not as easy, I don't think. On titles, if I used the "typewriter" effect about 2 sec afte the last letter of the phrase was typed, the title screen dissapears, if you lengthen the time of the title frame, it just typed the letters slower. I have not found a way to let the finished typed title stay on the screen for any additional amount of time. I could be missing something though, studio is better in this situation. Will play more though.

  4. MM 2 is still beta and I have seen bugs in the titling/transitions - hopefully MS will fix them before going out of beta.
