I am trying to encode to divx using DVD2AVI. I do a two pass encode and rip the audio off into a wav on the first pass. I like using DVD2AVI because it is simple and so far I have been able to get great results with it on the movies I have done. However lately I have been having a problem. Normally when each pass is complete it displays FINISH in the time remaining window. However on some DVD's it doesn't every finish, it just stays at 00:00 and if I close the program it has an error and the rip is no good. I can't find any common theme to the DVD's that do this, but it is really annoying me. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, did they fix it or is it hopeless.
