I've been creating SVCDs for over an year now and lately CVDs. I've been using Tmpgenc 2.51. I've been pleased with my results. The SVCDs and CVDs play flawlessly in my Pioneer DV333 and Norcent DP300 stand alone DVD players.
I've been playing arround with a demo of CCE 2.66 and using the same settings that I used in Tmpgenc I find the SVCD or CVD plays flawlessly in my Norcent but my Pioneer has problems with the sound, like it is stuttering. I even tried to just encode the video with CCE and the sound with Tmpgenc and then multiplex the two files in Tmpgenc but I get the same results. CD sound stutters in Pioneer.
I encode sound for CVDs at 48Khz and I've tried a bit rate of 128 and 160...
Thoughts or comments are welcomed.....
Cheers
