PicVideo MJPEG, should I use 1:1:1 or else?

Hi, I usually capture TV broadcast using compression PicVideo MJPEG with subsampling option to 1:1:1. the target is always to a DVD compliant mpg.

the question is, DVD format uses 4:2:0 so do I waste cpu resources & space using 1:1:1 option when capturing? will there be any quality loss if I use the lowest one? (in the MJPEG setting)
