    Any decent DVD ripper can handle subtitle ripping,e.g. DVD Decrypter, Smartripper,...

    I think VobEdit can also rip subtitles.

    You should check with your authoring program, which file extensions it uses. e.g. subs ripped with Smartripper cannot be imported in DVD Maestro because it's file extension doesn't match.
