  2. You need an authoring program like Ulead MovieFactory or any of the newer authoring softwares. I have only used Moviefactory and find it fairly eassy to use. Takes a little time to figure it out. You will also need to check if moviefactory will burn with your dvd unit. if not you will need a burning program like Nero.

  3. 1) Encode MPEGs to proper format (resolution has to be 720x480, 352x480 or 352x240). Audio must be 48khz

    2) Author DVD (I like DVD Maestro). This allows you to make your menu, set chapter points, etc. etc.

    3) Burn DVD (Nero will work but I don't like it, I make a disc image with IMGTools then burn with DVD Decyptor)

  4. With Movie Factory I have the program create the vob files then use the DVD Video created in nero and just drop the files into the correct TS file and bingo, instant DVD, never had any problems.

  6. I use both DVD Maestro and Ulead DVD Workshop. For ripping DVDs, I prefer Maestro. For compiling MPegs and since your are a newbie, I suggest Ulead DVD Workshop - user friendly (same company as Movie Factory)
