I really appreciate you taking the time to check out my situation, but unfortunatly it could not help a virual dub scan of my worst videos revealed
"0 bad frames,0 masked frames, 0 frames good but interleaved"

But thanks for linking me to your guides.

Can anyone shed any light as to what these commmon blocks are a result of ..i.e : compression,codec,resolution,bite rate

Thanks for all your help with my movie files. I took the poll on vcd/dvd.

My question is. Is the site being dismantled? If not, and if the tutorials are going to be geared toward dvd, what happens to all the newbies out there? Where will their information come from. For myself, I would have never been able to do what I do with the files I download if not for VcdHelp guides

Firstly, this site being geared towards DVD authoring does not mean that existing VCD guides will disappear. It is simply a matter of future direction of this site.

Secondly, since KingJohn is not a moderator of this site (or even a member now -- he was banned) he isn't really the person you should be asking for this.

For those interested in VCD authoring, hopefully you will still find this website as relevant as ever...

Yea, I don't know much about this, but I read some posts where apparently this KingJohn guy was banned for some reason or another. He said in a reply via another poster, that the moderator's of this site are cynical, (not true by any means) and that he had his attorney force this site to have his guides removed or he would pursue legal action. Someone from this site said that wasn't true, and his guides are public information, they just removed them to basically get rid of this guy all together. Hope this helps. IF you want more info, look at the "locked" thread titled Where's King John. I guess that thread should now be titled, "Where's King John AND King John's Guides."
