How can I lower the bitrate on a M2V file..to make it smaller???
Do I have to re-encode it.... or is there a quicker way???
Thanks for your help.

reencode with CCE or TMPGenc, or transcode with TMPGenc. There are hundreds of posts which cover this issue.

Learn how to edit you M2V file and start cutting opening and ending credits
Nobody watches ending credits AND it's a faster way of shortening your M2V files
(Don't forget to edit the audio track as well
