How do I add subtitles to a divx or xvid movie witout need to compress it again cause I donīt want qualityloss.

I have a divxmovie which size is aroud 700Mb and I want to add subtitles permanent to the movie so the subtitle is gonna be stuck,I just want to watch the movie in the computer but I want to add the subtitles in the movie anyway.
Do anyone know how I do it?

I have tried using Virtual Dub before but then I need to choose
"Full processing mode" to be able to choose filter and add the subtitle but then I need to compress it again and lose quality.

  2. If you just want to add subtitles for computer playback you can use the latest ffdshow-alpha release. Read this topic: http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=136825&highlight=.

Adding permanent subtitles requires reencoding of the video. Why do you want it permanent if only playing on your computer???

I want to make a copy of the movie with subtitles,I donīt want to encode it to vcd, just want to copy the whole movie and save it so I can watch it with my other computer.

I know that I can make a vcd of it to and watch it on the computer but then I lose quality but I suppose that itīs not possible.
