  1. HI all, new to this forum.

I'm having problems creating a VCD with nero. I was getting only 2 audio tracks on the cd at first, Now I have finally gotten 4 or 5 subfolders on the cd. and have the avseq01.dat file in the mpg folder(can't remember full name).

When I go to watch on the dvd player at home. It reads the file. and right before it goes to the menu I hear this loud skipping sound and nothing happends. My dvd will play VCD's. What is up with this. And my DVD in my computer will not even load the cd?

This is just so weird I'm havning all these darn problems. and I have followed every step perfect in the articles. At least i'm getting some folders and not the stupid audio files?

    I'm burning at 2, and using CD-RW disk(after 10 cd-r's, i chose the cd-rw ).

And if I use VCDeasy, It doenst created any file. and burns as audio as well?

  2. you're probably not doing anything wrong. if you've got an avseq01.dat file then that's your vcd! to play it on your puter put it into your cd rom, double click on my computer/your cdrom drive/mpegav/avseqo1.dat. if you get a message saying windows can't open this type of file, choose the option of selecting a program from a list and choose windows mediaplayer. also tick the "always use this program for this type of file" box. this should open your vcd for you. as for your disc not playing on your stand alone dvd player, are you sure it's vcd and cdr compatible? check the list on the left of this site. hope this helps, regards....dave
