What percentage of dual layered DVD's would you be able to rip onto a single disk persuming you took away the extra features, subtitles etc ?
I know the size of a blank dvd is 4.7gig, what are the sizes of general movies.
Do you think you would be able to get any movie under the size of 2 hours on ???

You can not assume a film will fit based purely on duration - DVD's are usually encoded in a manner called Variable Bitrate MPEG2 which assigns more data to complex scenes. If a disc does not have a lot of extras on it then the author may use the extra available space to use less compression for the film, thus making it better quality because less data has been thown away.
