Hello everybody!
I bought a BT8x8 Capture Card (in bundle with WinDVR 1.5 and WDM Drivers) and a DVD writer that comes with Pinnacle Studio 8 SE.
I have a P4 2Ghz with 256 MB RAM, XP and an UltraATA 133 80Gb HD.
I installed the WDM drivers that came with the card and I tried capturing with WinDVR, VirtualDub and Studio8.
- WinDVR 1.5 captures perfectly, but the sound is VERY bad.
- VirtualDub (as expected) won't capture higher then 320x240.
- Studio8 either won't capture higher then 320x240 (and this wasn't expected...).
Then I downloaded and installed the BTWincap drivers. After that, I tried again the capture programs and this is what happened:
- WinDVR 1.5 crashes...
- VirtualDub (as expected) captures perfectly at any resolution.
- Studio8 keeps capturing at most at 320x240 (stil not expected).
Since Studio8 should be a "generic" capturing and editing program, does anybody know why it doesn't capture at high res? Any clue?
Any help would be appreciated...
Thankyou very much.
Bye,
Massi.

Can't help you with the Studio 8 problem, but I get similar crap sound with Win dvr, try opening the windows sound recording line in slider, then as recording starts, run the slider down to 0 then up a few graduations, I found this improved things muchly.
Movie only DVD9 to DVDR guide.
