    When i record something on Sky Digital on one TV and VCR (both Nicam stereo) and play it on another TV (mono) and VCR (Nicam Stereo), the VCR keeps changing between mono and stereo and sounds funny. Is it because it's a mono TV or is the problem with the VCR?

    I'd check the playback tracking.

    Most (all?) moderm VCR's have some sort of auto-tracking capability that's on by default. However it isn't perfect. You might be able to turn it off and manually adjust it. You may have to consult the owners manual to find out how to do this.

    Thanks. I thought the tracking only adjusted the picture, not the sound.

    Sorry, you're right - the tracking does adjust the sound aswell. But it doesn't stop it from jumping between mono and stereo.
