I am in the process of ripping a DVD to SVCD using the flexion guide as my primary information. My source is listed on statistics as 16:9 and when I follow the instructions from the guide for the letterbox section, my resulting video is only a few inches tall. I have to select 4:3 in the smart resizing filter in vdub, and 4:3 525 line in tmpgenc to come close. It is pretty decent with only about 1/2 inch difference. I have played around with all the settings, and have yet to match the dvd size. Has anyone ever got the perfect size through the flexion guide suggestions?
