  1. Hi,

I posted the topic in this forum 'cause its a MAC topic

I saw at ebay that some people offer a Miro DC30 digitizer board wich was normally sold for use in a PC, but they offer it also to use with a MAC and they tested it and works .... hmmmmmm, very suspect.

Is that true?? Can I use a Miro DC30 PCI-Card for PC in a MAC or does this card need a special ROM??

My intention is to record movies from TV with my old 9500/G3 500 and a Miro DC30 so I can encode it after this with my other iMac G4/800 via network connection.

As always ... thanks a lot for replies!

    Question

Is the DC30 the same for Mac and PC?

    Answer

The MiroMotion DC30 series for Mac and the MiroVideo DC30 series for PC are two different product lines. Although each of these lines can perform the same functions, they are designed on a hardware and software level differently. You cannot interchange the software or hardware between a Mac or PC.

Note: Pinnacle System's MiroMotion DC30 for the Macintosh platform is currently a discontinued product. There is information available on the web under MiroMotion DC30 on our Support site for this product.

But maybe there is someone out there who has tried it?
