  1. Ok, this may be a little long winded, but I have checked all the guides and searched the forum. Hoping someone can help me out here.

I converted an XVid by Frameserving it from Virtualdub. I then converted the .WAV file with BeSweet to an AC3.

I used IFOCreator .94 (I think this may be the problem) to create the VOBS, etc. I then used IMGTools to create an image.

If I mount this image with Virtual Daemon then WinDVD will play the video with NO problems, and it looks great.

HOWEVER, when I try to burn with InstantCD/DVD, Nero, or DVDDecryptor then it will not play in the computer or on any DVD player. I've looked at the directoried and they look fine (VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS in the root) ... anyone have any ideas here?

    Possible Ideas:
Do I need something other than one dolby digital stream in the file? (I.E. Also multiplex the .WAV file in)

Could it be something in my video encoding? (23.976 internally 29.976) 3:2 pulldown.

Is my version of IFOEdit hosed cause it's .94?

Anyone have any tips. I'd REALLY appreciate it cause I spent 6 hours on this yesterday.

    Thanks.

  2. I am having almost the exact same problem with ifoedit. I can play the DVD files while they are on the hard drive, but, when burned to DVD-RW, they are unplayable by the computer . Note that this problem is also similar to Sonic CinePlay. CinePlay can also play the files while on hard drive, but can't play the disk. In fact, it hangs up just like ifoedit does. I can play retail DVD movies using CinePlay. I've used 2 different burn programs (Studio 8 and Nero Express). Maybe there is a shared DLL used in burning that needs to be updated?

What could be going wrong in the burn process?

Maybe you had done the same error, that I had done:using BitSetter to set the DVD-ROM Bit permantly in FW of the burner. After doing that, I had the same probs as described above.I had to reflash the WF of the writer.
    Just a thought.
