I have recently ripped a DVD using smartripper which lead to a set of VOB files of over 5 Gb.
I used DVD2AVI to create a file I could load in TMPGEnc and I re-encoded it to fit on one DVD+r, which resulted in a .m2v file and a .Wav file which together was less than 4.7 Gb.![]()
These files produced with TMPGEnc play fine with synchronised sound etc in PAL format using a software DVD player.
I then needed to re-author the DVD, and for this I could only find IFOedit to produce a new set of VOB files. This seemed to work fine and said it had no errors and produced the VOBs quite quickly.
However, when I play the VOB's produced in this way, the video plays back slightly jerky, and at what appears to be a faster framerate than the original 25fps PAL, and the sound is totally out of synch![]()
Does anyone have any idea for the cause of this as I have redone it 3 times now with the same result, and can't see any parameters that would be causing this.![]()
thanks in advance

If you remuxed the m2v with Ifoedit that's your problem. You need to use Ifoedit 95 in author mode. Ifoedit does not remux m2v files created with Tmpeg or CCE properly, audio synch problem. It works in remux if you encoded with Rempeg however.
