  1. Hello, since I wiped my computer clear and reinstalled my programs (long story), I haven't been able to play a particular VCD on PowerDVD anymore. The rest of the VCDs work but just not this one. It works fine on Windvd but not POwerDVD. How do I get it to work on PowerDVD again?

  2. ALl I can think to try is getting a newer version of PowerDVD, then after completely removing your current PowerDVD version from your computer (deleting registry entries manually if necessary) install the new copy.

  3. I know this is a stupid question, esp for guys like you but, how do I delete it from the registry? Of course I know about it but I've never touched it before.

  4. You should only muck with the registry if uninstalling PowerDVD then installing the newer version does nothing to help you. If this is the case, open up regedit (start-run-"regedit") make sure "keys" is checked and search for PowerDVD. As always, the standard warnings apply, this CAN screw up your PC royally. I removed Nero Burning ROM recently this way, and it screwed up Windows so bad that I had to reinstall XP completely. But the odds are slim that this will happen to you, just don't blame me if the odds bite you in the ass!
