Hi,
I've created a single 1.4gb mpeg2 and I'm having a problem with tmpgenc splitting it into two 795mb-ish chunks. I get a complaint from Nero about the audio stream being in the wrong format (VBR I think).
If I turn off standard compliance I can still burn a chunk as an SVCD but it can't be any larger than 700 and odd megabytes not the 795mb I was hoping for![]()
Is there a way to de-multiplex the audio and re-encode it to CBR or fix the audio format problem so I can split into two larger file sizes and keep the movie to two discs instead of three ?
Thanks for your help

If your audio is VBR you should use the mpeg tools in tmpg and under the simple de-multiplex tab, select your 1.4gb video and hit the run button. You can load the created *.mp2 into tmpg to re-encode it. VBR audio isn't standard on vcd, svcd, or dvd.
Try using bbmpeg to mutiplex you video and audio files. It's a better multiplexer and you can split your video on filesize rather than time so you don't have to guess and check with tmpg. Take a look at this guide http://www.vcdhelp.com/bbmpegedit.htm it also explains de-muxing.
As for your filesize problem, make sure your burning a svcd and not a data or anything else. Also, if your using 74min cdrs it won't fit. If it still doesn't work, try to select overburn in nero's preferences.
