  1. I have perfected a method of copying DVD's, where so many other methods I have read, and programs I have tried failed.

I have tried DVD X Copy as well, with never 100% success.

I have written a tutorial, and am now proofreading it and testing it for completeness. If you would like a copy of it then please email me a name and email address, and I will send it to you once I am satisfied it is ready.

  2. There are many guides already that work quite well.

  3. yes there are, but I have read most of them and not all of them work for players that are picky on the compatibility side, and the ones that do work were not detailed enough and I had to troubleshoot different settings myself to figure out what works...

So in a nutshell, my tutorial should work for the most picky players, and is extremely detailed from beginning to end.

  4. Why in the world did you feel the need to post that you have a tutorial that nobody can see?

  5. Right, it does seem a little strange.

For picky playback compatibility, try burning with RecordNow Max or using Nero in UDF/ISO mode with UDF 1.02 selected. That's been covered extensively on this forum also.

  6. King,

I cant find your email anywhere to request the Pefected Guide you had made. Please email it to AYALA913@aol.com.

    Thank you.

  7. Ignor the naysayers. Send a copy to dscottp1@yahoo.com. I am interested in seeing anybodys research.
    Thanks!

While your sending these out, make sure they include things like what DVD drive you are using, what and how you ripped, what was stripped, did you use IFOedit, what settings, what did you use to burn, what settings, what disks, etc. All this is critical since we can't duplicate your system.

  12. why don't you just post your guide here on the forum?
oh, and yes...do include what DVD recorder and media you are using along with whether this is PAL or NTSC.

    thanks.

  14. So far all I've gotton is an email saying to expect a tutorial soon.... this was yesterday. I don't know if this is legit or not. Seems strange.

  15. Sorry all, I have completed the tutorial and am still proofreading it. It is legit and everyone who has emailed me will soon recieve it. The tutorial is 15 pages long, extremely detailed and works for me 100% on both new and old movies alike...

Also I edited my first post at the top to show the email address to send requests to...

The tutorial does include everything needed including software sources, pre-req knowledge that was learned to make the method successful, and hardware used as well...

I am choosing to release it this way, and after I get feedback from this first group of requesters and make any corrections necessary then and ONLY then I will post on all the popular sites for this kind of thing...

    Doug

  16. one more thing, even though it was only a joke, I want to make sure everyone knows this is not some lame-ass spam attempt to give you all a add to some stupid software that will make a glorified re-encoded vcd...

My tutorial makes a true 1:1 copy leaving nothing out, including menus, extras, etc, etc. Also it includes splitting to two dvd-r's when necessary.

  17. Splitting to 2 DVDs is never really necessary, although it might be "preferred." Of course there are many existing guides that details those processes. However, feel free to add your guide to the mix.

  18. Geez JasonK you seem pretty critical. As I said earlier, I have read the others in the "mix" and I really believe that mine is a level of magnitude better for the simple fact that is in complete detail and picture.

It doesnt leave you wondering what the hell did it mean for you to do in any steps...

This was something that no other single guide in the "mix" provided to me, so I thought I would save people the troubles that I had myself and write a completely detailed one.
