  1. I have a 12gb large DV Type 1 file which i have captured with my JVC cam using a FireWire card.

    Now...I´m stuck.

Appearantly i need to convert this file to DV Type 2 to be able 2 use it in VirtualDub where i can make a DivX or VCD file or whatever out of it.

But I have tried about 4 different programs to convert the file in and tehre is a problem everytime...

The best result i got out of Canopus Converter and another converter(i dont remember this ones name), but the problem is that in this almost perfect file.....the sound is really fukked right in the middle of the film(for about 20 minutes). Both programs gave the fukked up sound in the same place of the movie.

The sound in this places is the original sound in the background with a really loud noise that comes and goes for about every second, like:
    ssshh-normal-sssh-normal-ssssh-normal-sshhhh-normal and so on

    Does anyone know the solution?

    Thanx

Use Scenalyzer and capture to DV type 2. Experts say it is not a good idea to convert from DV1 to DV2, though you can do it. I use the above capture method and no problems noted. Now, you can use Virtual Dub.
