This one is driving me to drink.
I try 2.66 and I find now that no matter what settings I use, the result is blocky, washed-out, and horrible overall.
I'm trying to encode animated product from an interlaced TV capture, 640x480. The source is very close to DVD sharpness.
I've tried all the "reccomended" quantizers and quality settings, filtered and unfiltered, and all of them are super-blocky, and hazy!
Does anyone know a way to make CCE uncode exactly the same as previous (working) versions do? i.e. 2.50?
All that I know is that when I encoded with 2.50, I could encode ANY kind of video with it, use multipass VBR, and it came out better than any competition. With 2.66, it's all garbage.
Any help here is appreciated. (I'm thinking I'll just have to use the older, better version)
