HELP! I'm stuck! I'm using an ASUS 7700 Deluxe (Nvidia GeForce 2 GTS) composite in and VirtualDub software to capture VCD compliant AVI. I also have a Soundblaster Platinum. If I capture a less than 4 gig file, everything works perfectly in one file. If I need to capture longer, and enable multi-segment, the first segment (2 gig) is perfect, and about 45 seconds into the second segment, I lose my sound for the rest of the segment. If I encode it with TMPGEnc the sound turns to loud white noise at approx. 45 seconds in to the second segment and stays white noise to the end of the segment. But if I use MS mediaplayer to watch the captured AVI, it will play THROUGH the 45 second spot and sound fine, but if I fast forward past it, NO sound, and if I rewind to any spot after the 45 sec. spot, no sound. If I rewind to BEFORE the 45 sec. spot. sound is fine. So there is SOMETHING weird about approx 45 seconds into the SECOND captured segment. This has happened EVERY time. And EVEN weirder, the third segment captured is perfect, no sound problems. I've wasted hours/days because of this problem, does ANYONE know what is going on? How can I fix it? PLEASE?
Thank you.
