I have a digital camcorder. When I download a video directly to a TV and create a VHS tape, the image quality is great. However, when I capture and then burn the same image to a DVD or CD the image is terrible. It is very "blocky" I don't know the correct term and as a consequence the resolution is terrible.
What am I doing wrong? I thought it should have been the reverse.
Thank you

Need more detail on capture and burn process in order to give any sort of intelligent answer.
My guess is that the video is being re-encoded, quality setting on this process given in great detail in how-to's to the left. -
I have captured using either, VideoWave, DVDit (came with Sony) and MuVee. I have burned using these programs and Roxio. All give the same quality.

LOL, i just started a topic similar to this one...it really didn't get me anywhere as I'm still looking for a way to view my imported DV loseless without deinterlacing it and sacrificing quality...
