As discussed in previous topic threads, there was a bug in Nerovision Express. For NTSC, Nerovision writes its IFO files for Mpeg audio but Nerovision also converts the audio in many tracks (the actual VOB files themselves) to LPCM audio format. The result is no audio play back since the DVD player cannot find the audio format in the VOB file that the IFO file is telling it to look for.
A previous topic thread gives a work-around by using IFOedit to edit the IFO files.
I e-mailed Nero's technical support last week and today they sent me an updated dll file: NeroMediaCon.dll. Installing this and replacing the old NeroMediaCom.dll solves the problem.
I did not see the updated file posted on Nero's website yet. Nero will certainly encorporate the fix in their next version of Nerovision, but those who need it now will have to e-mail Nero to get the updated file.
