I'm trying out mainconcept's mpg encoder and I was wondering about the quality of its built-in audio encoder.
I usually use toolame and ssrc with TMPGenc because of TEMPGenc's less-than-perfect audio encoding capability.
How well does mainconcept convert audio? Is it possible to use external tools like in TMPGenc? If it is possible (I couldn't find a way to do it), should I use an external tool?

I like to encode with TooLame. Better and faster than anything else. Then multiplex in the end.
