    I burnt my video to a cdr - with nero 5.0., It was and mpeg4 (worked in divx) and when I put it into the dvd player - all I got was sound? any ideas?

    Suggest you encode your video in TMPGEnc before using Nero.

    All DVD players apart from the odd 1 or 2 will not play mpeg4. You have to encode to either mpeg1 for VCD or mpeg2 for SVCD or DVD. The encoded mpeg file then needs to be authored for the format required before it is burned. You cannot just burn your mpeg to cd as data.

    Basically you have missed out 2 steps, encoding and authoring. Read the how to guides.
