I really like the results from Tmpgenc's noise filter but it lengthens my encode times x3 ! 45 minutes of a show in avi format takes 2 hours to encode in Tmpgenc 2.51 Plus (cbr 2300). Using the noise filter increases the time to 6-7 hours !
Is there an alternative for this filter. I use VirtualDUB to frameserve.
Cheers

Since you are frameserving from VirtualDub you can run a Denoise filter in VDub.
I can recommend the 'Dynamic Noise Filter' by Steven Don available here-> http://www.shdon.com/fvideo.html.
It's fast and does a good job with little affect on encoding time.
The default setting if '12' is fine for most videos.
