Is the best way to go Ala Carte...or is there an EASYanswer for Capturing, Authoring, & Burning all in one mid-range program? I'd love to have it all in one program and spend under $400-$500. If it takes 2 or 3 programs, so be it, but still under that total would be great, of course the programs would have to work well together. I have VideoWaveIII (old...I know) and VideoExplosion, and I got MyDVD with my Burner, but these are not working together well, or I'm having problems with dropped frames, or there is no variable bitrate to give me more that the 1:40 that MyDVD will burn to a DVD in better quality. I know I want my cake and eat it too...but who doesn't? I keep reading post after post and see all kinds of contradictions of likes and dislikes. DVD Workshop comes up a lot, but I'd like to know if that is what I'm looking for, or if there is a better answer. Thank you!

For some of them follow my signature.
BTW, MyDVD will convert your sound to PCM format that takes much more space. Allways!Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home) -
It's hard to beat Premeire 6.5, but a little spendy unless you get it included with some hardware.
