I'm just beginning to appreciate how useful VirtDub is for compressing files. However, I can't seem to get it to work as a Tv-Capture app. coz I can get any sound to work.
Some background info on what i'm using:
- Video Capture Device - MSVideo: Brooktree PCI Video Capture driver
- Audio Recording device - SB Live! Wave In
Is there anything else I need to configure or look into?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Just a silly question, but a couple of ideas.
1) If you're using the TV card as the TV "source" for capturing, do you have a cable going from the line-out of the TV card to the Line-in of your Soundblaster card?
2) Again, if you're capturing from a TV to the composite in, do you have a cable from the audio out of the TV to your line-in?
Also, with your SB card, go into audio HQ & make sure the Line-in is unmuted & selected. You'll know if its working as you'll hear whatever is on the TV/tuner card channel. -
Yes to both questions, actually, i don't think it's a hardware connection issue or wiring related coz I am able to capture both video and audio just fine using my "regular" tv-capture software that came with the tv-card. It works just fine.
I just wanted to use VirtualDub coz it's much more "sophisticated"...and uhmm..robust..i was thinking maybe it's a driver issue...enways, thanks for your advice.
