  1. Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to join to encoded files together or is it better to join two AVI files together first and then encode. I'm using Virtual Dub and TMPEng.

    Thanks,

In TMPGenc go to file - Mpeg tools. U can join 2 mpegs together in the "merge and cut" section, if they r the same bitrate etc. Failing that in Virtual dub go to file - append avi segment for joining 2 avi's
you know it's the anti-Midas touch when all you touch goes to shit..............

you can encode multiple source files to one mpeg with CCE , TMPGenc, and Main concept encoder .

w/ TMPGenc the source files have to be avi files to do this.

  4. Thanks for the information. I may have to add a harddrive to keep several large AVI files. I was hoping to do a 30 minute AVI, encode it, get rid of the AVI after I check the encoded file to see if it is ok. Then I was going to do the same with another 30 minute AVI and finally join the two encoded MPEG2 files together.

    Thanks.

they have to be added together on all the encoders i mentioned .. if you need to do what you suggest, you will have to join the mpeg's together.
