  1. Dont know where to post this, so Newbie it is.

Recently upgraded to win2k and since then, I cannot view XViD with either win mediaplayer or WinDVD. Just get the classical green screen and then a highly pixalated image.

Have installed the latest DiVx codec (Nino 5.0 build 8) and the XVid codec (even though it is included in Nino). Have removed/installed a dozen times with no effect.

    Any ideas??

I also had trouble with xvid. I uninstalled Nimo and after that koepi's build of xvid and don't have any problems anymore. Also I'll never install Nimo again!

    See if this works.
Uninstalled all DivX codecs and xvid codecs,(Nimo Pack etc.)
You can then install xvid codecs from here:
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html

Then install all DivX codecs separat (Not from Nimo).
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html

After that install Nimo Pack but uncheck all divx codecs and the xvid codec and also uncheck a direct show filter which is Ffdshow DirectShow
    Install Nimo from here:
    http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/

    Now all should work fine!

By the way,AC3 comes with the Nimo Pack and I installed this with
Nimo Pack Build 8,not the new Build 9.

I have posted this all over in this forum so please search for more about it before you start a topic about xvid problems, just start a topic about it if it doesn´t work.
