  1. I am having a problem with video color quality – it lightens and then darkens every few seconds.

I downloaded two of those 150MB files from P2P file sharing network. I believe the files are Divx coded. I am trying to convert them to Mpeg so that I can burn them onto a CD to play as a VCD.

I am using TMPGENC to do my encoding. First, I checked the files in VirtualDub for bad frames and they have none. Then went into TMPGENC. Here are the choices I made:

    Create NTSC Film
    Video Type is non-interlace
Field Order is Top Field First
    Aspect Ratio is 1:1 VGA
In Other Setting or Expert Settings, I made the Video Arrange Method Full Screen (keep aspect ratio). I did not change Motion Search (left normal) or Reduce block noise (left unchecked).

I am very happy with the visual sharpness of the resulting Mpeg file. When converting from a 150MB file that has 60 minutes of movie, one cannot expect perfect picture. However, the color fades in and out during the movie and the original has perfect color or t color s constant throughout.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

    Please help. Thanks.
