Is it possible to have music in the background at the menu screen on a VCD?? I am using Nero and i can't find a way to do this.

Yes you can.
With Nero you can't.
There are generally two ways to make a menu on a VCD with audio in the background.
(1) to use a video clip as the background for the menu
(2) to use an audio only segment play-item ( http://www.geocities.com/mikk999/StillsWithAudio.htm )

The disadvantage of using (1) is that video clips for VCDs are limited to 352x240/288 and this is usually insufficient for text. The situation is better for SVCDs.
The disadvantage of doing (2) is that this doesn't work particularly well on many DVD players.
