  1. I have Nero 5.5.2.4 - which is brilliant for making svcd's, but for some reason after spending time on my svcd's to give them a nice menu with thumbnails, nero keeps cocking them up. By this I mean sometimes they come out fine and as i intended, and then other times for no reason they do not burn on to the cd properly and i am met with a black screen instead of a glorious menu. It seems to be totally random, and it is bugging the hell out of me. So if any one has had the same problem and fixed it could you tell me how. Other wise any suggestions would be welcome.

I would honestly suggest you go back to version 5.5.2.3.

  3. Me too
I have problems with Neros 5.5.24 random menus' working in a Pioneer 343 I have found a workaround, just add MPEG2 SCVD files to a VCD profile but in full size DV: 720x480 but 2376 V-BRate, in CCE/BBMPEG or Ligos and ignore warnings about comliance.Totally uncomplient but works!!
I was just checking back out here to see if they had a new Nero patch yet!!!! I think they are real close to getting it!!! I have stacks of toaster's. I think its a problem in the lead in/out because i can open the menu in PowerDVD filemode, and catch a brief glimpse of my menu.
I have used I-Author with some success But my menu sometimes comes up not full screen, I wish someone had a compliant menu program out there... not something 2 yrs old..
Like SPRUCE DVD for SVCDS would be nice.
I have burned dual disks where i used Spruce in cDVD mode and wrote to a folder, they made a SVCD in Nero and drug the files over into SVCD structure and I have a WinDVD stand alone player on the disk and a complient SVCD playable on a home player!!! Too bad you only get half the video time.
But Menus on computer or DVD standalone, Thats nice!!
