  1. First: Let me say that I've not found an answer thru searching this great site, at least not one that fixed this error/problem.

    Second: I can't say this is the definitive fix for this error, it's only worked for me the one time I've had it, so your mileage may vary. If there is incorrect information please post a reply and let us all know.

    Third: If you have had this error and tried this solution, and it's worked OR not worked for you, then please post a reply and let me and everyone else know about your experience. I'm posting this simply because I've not seen an answer posted to this problem, and I've found one. I'm totally new to DVD authoring and just want to help out if I can in some way.
    ==============================================

    PREFACE: I've been authoring .mpg files with Maestro to DVD without a problem for some time until I came upon the error mentioned in the Subject of this post. I was using the guide posted on this site at: http://www.vcdhelp.com/svcddvdr with no problems.....until I came across a "bad" .mpg file that gave me problems.

    Let me explain what exactly happened, and hopefully if you have experienced this problem, then this will help you as well.

    Using the guide listed above, (http://www.vcdhelp.com/svcddvdr) I would De-Multiplex my downloaded .mpg file (Using TMPGEnce in MPEG Tools mode) into two Elementary Streams (ES) for use within Maestro. However, after inputing the .mpg file, I would only get an Audio output file, and no video. This was due to a problem in the .mpg file with the video stream.

    ============================================
    WHAT DID I DO?

    1: TMPGEnce
    GO into File> MPEG Tools, and Select "De-Multiplex" NOT SIMPLE!! Simple would not read my .mpg file, and I had to use De_Mulitplex to separate the video and audio files.

    2: TMPGEnc
    Then, I simply loaded the video only file that I created into TMPGEnce and re-encoded it into a new file (naming it something different just in case).

    3: I used AC3Machine to encode my ripped audio file from step 1 into an AC3 file. You will need AC3Machine is just a GUI for BeSweet, so you will need BeSweet as well to complete this step. Make sure you encode the audio file at 48000hz so it is compliant with DVD.

    4: Using Maestro.....Import your newly encoded video file AND AC3 audio file into their coresponding areas.

    5: THIS IS IMPORTANT! Right click the AC3 file on the time line and select the "Create Sync Audio Track" option. In the window that opens, highlight the video file and click on "Assign Audio File". This will open another window, and in here you will need to click on your AC3 audio file that you created with AC3Machine and then click "Open". The window will close and then the option "Sync to Audio Timecode" will become available. Click, and enable this option, and then click the "Create Audio File" Button. It will ask you if you want to overwrite or something to that effect. Click "OK" and let it do so.

    YOU ARE DONE!!!

    I went ahead an authored my video, and both video and audio were in sync and worked fine.
    ==============================================

    Once again, this is what worked for me....if it works for you, then awesome, I'm glad to have helped. If not.........................

    I have the same problem, but I'd like to fix it without reencoding the file, just re-arranging GOP's - is it possible ?

    Thanks,
