  1. ive just upgraded my p3 500 to an athlon 1.33 and i notice that encoding times r just the same as it used to b. it takes about 2 and 1/2 hrs to encode a 24 min avi to xvcd 2500, and 1hr 40min to for a normal svcd with TMPGenc.
Although if i benchmark my processor it out performs a 1.6 p4.
Benchmarking my 30gig 7200 HDD however shows that is 40 times slower than what it should b. (EVERYTHING IN THE LIST OUT PERFORMED IT, EVEN THE LAME ASS HDD's THEY MADE BAK IN THE ICE AGE THAT DONT EVEN GO OVER A GIG)
What encoding times should i b gettin with a 1.33, 30gig 7200 HDD becase for 20mins of film, 2 1/2 hrs is just to long, i dread to think what it would b like encoding a full length movie.
